چکیده
Abstract In recent years, various geological activities and different mineral prospecting exploration programs have been intensified along the Red Sea hills in order to elucidate maps evaluate potentials. This study is therefore aimed at testing viability of using remote sensing geographic information system (GIS) techniques for mapping gold mineralization area. The area located northeast Sudan covers an about 1379 km 2 . Different digital image processing were applied Landsat 8 Operational Land Imager increase discrimination between lithological units delineate wall rock alteration which represents target zones mineralization. Image sharpening was performed enhance spatial resolution images more detailed information. Contrast stretching after procedures produce interpretable images. principal component analysis transformations yielded saturated resulted than original data. Several ratio prepared, combined together displayed RGB color composite process revealed existence These extend from southwest acid meta-volcanic silica barite rocks. enhanced satellite implemented GIS environment facilitate final production map scale 1:400,000. X-ray fluorescence analyses prove that selected samples taken are gold-bearing.

متن کاملMapping of Agriculture Drought using Remote Sensing and GIS
Agriculture drought occurs when moisture level in soils is insufficient to maintain average crop yields. Initial consequences are in the reduced seasonal output of crops & other related production. An extreme agricultural drought can lead to a famine, which is a prolonged shortage of food in a restricted region causing widespread diseases and deaths from starvation. Agriculture drought is mainl...
